WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD

Los Angeles

FISHKO Inc. produced What a Wonderful World: An Audiovisual Poem for the Julia Stoschek Foundation, marking the Foundation’s first exhibition in the United States. Edited by Udo Kittelmann, the exhibition brought together forty-five time-based works by artists ranging from Georges Méliès and Alice Guy-Blaché to Marina Abramović, Arthur Jafa, Jordan Wolfson, and Lu Yang. Presented at the Variety Arts Theater, a century-old former women’s club on South Figueroa Street, the exhibition activated six floors of a building that had stood in disrepair for decades.

Working from an exhibition design by Faraguna, FISHKO Inc. managed all aspects of production and operations, including financial modeling, budget controls and reporting, technical production, power and AV, procurement and fabrication, permitting and fire safety, art installation, signage, staffing, security, ticketing, food and beverage, and front-of-house operations.
