WIND OF CHANGE

DRIFT

Abu Dhabi

Wind of Change is DRIFT's aerial performance for Manar Abu Dhabi 2025: two thousand drones tracing wind patterns and ocean currents above the mangroves of Jubail Island, shaping a sand dune that evolves through the flight before the swarm gathers into a falcon, the symbol of Abu Dhabi, and dissolves into a vortex from which seeds drift down and grow into the city.

FISHKO Inc. was contracted to produce the performance for the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, managing the drone operator, flight planning and site layout, the launch field on the island, the commissioned score, and operations from the November 15, 2025 premiere through January 4, 2026.
