ABC NEW YEAR’S EVE SHOW

For Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2025, dick clark productions added a new element to the broadcast: a show of one thousand drones flown from the lawn of Liberty State Park in Jersey City, across the Hudson from Lower Manhattan, forming a countdown clock, a bursting sphere, “2025” and “Happy New Year” against the skyline. The segment was taped in the last days of December and cut into the ABC broadcast on December 31, 2024, from the 11:45 PM segment through the final countdown to the Times Square ball drop.

FISHKO Inc. managed production of the drone show on the ground, securing the park’s approval and holding the event permit, writing the operations plan, and designing the site around the airfield, geofence, and exclusion zone. The team handled all aspects of production operations, including remote power generation, airfield operations, security, site lighting, temporary infrastructure, staffing, catering, and on-site coordination of dick clark productions’ camera crews. On New Year’s Eve, the team permitted and led the camera position from which the broadcast captured the midnight fireworks over the Statue of Liberty.
